PROJECT NINE – APRIL 2009
Inch By Inch House – By Shannon Sawyer, Arizona, USA:

Shannon recently sent us the most fabulous box of hand crafted goodies ever (could you bear to give this lot away?!), all made with Crafty Individuals products. It was better than Christmas Day opening and unwrapping them all. She had also very kindly enclosed instructions so that we could feature some of the items as projects for you to follow, and this lovely little Inchie House is the first one (and Malcolm’s particular favourite). Enjoy!

Crafty Individuals Products Used:
To Make the Inchie House
Paint a small wooden divided container and a plastic frame holder to set it on. If you do not have a container it is possible to make one using foamcore board and/or thick card. Once the paint is dry add a coat of sealer. Then cut a triangular piece of cardboard to use as the roof of the inchie house and cover both sides with paper from Background Book 1. Also cut some jagged edged circles from the papers (with a punch), cut in half and ink the edges, then attach these along the inked top edge of the triangle. Glue the triangle firmly to the back of the top edge of the house.
Cut out the clock image from the Time 1 Glossy Sheet and back with cardboard to strengthen. Decorate with Tim Holtz metal embellishments and glue the clock to the triangular roof. Then add some small metal watch pieces to the roof as shown.
Stamp CI-203 on a sheet of white cardstock in black ink and cut out 8 x 1” square pieces. Ink these with Distress Ink in Peeled Paint and glue them to the backs of each cubby hole. Cut out eight women from People and Places book and ink around the edges. Attach them appropriately to the container using sticky fixers.
To Finish
Cut a border from one of the background papers using decorative scissors and mount onto card for support. Ink the edges and glue the whole piece to the bottom edge of the house. Use alphabet stickers to give the house a name along the bottom border. Finally print out a sentence on the computer and attach to the triangular roof as shown. Glue the plastic frame holder to the bottom portion of the house to stand house upright.
